The Wright Brothers

The Wright brothers are true heroes. They had an interesting life, accomplished some heroic deeds and have made me think. The Wrights are my heroes.

The Wright Brothers' lives were full of inventions and studies. Wilbur was born on April 16, 1867. Orville was born on August 19, 1871. When they were just little boys, their father gave them a toy helicopter. This inspired them about flying. As they grew older, they studied and built airplanes. The Wright Brothers were the first people that ever did this. Their airplanes weren’t successful in the first place. Then they made a new plane that was successful. The longest flight was 59 seconds long.

The Wright Brothers accomplished many heroic acts. They proved that humans can fly, for the Wrights created the first airplane. Later, they built an airplane for the U.S. military and French investors.

Learning about the Wright Brothers inspired me to think. I wonder if it was difficult to research about flying. I think it might have been fun to build an airplane. Wow! They didn’t give up when they weren’t successful.

Two great heroes in the world were the Wright Brothers. Learning about their lives and heroic deeds has given me much to ponder. They are true heroes.
