Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in a little log cabin in Kentucky. He was named after his paternal grandfather and his parents were Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln is a hero to me because he freed the black people, he was brave, and he was a great role model.

Abraham Lincoln protested against slavery in many ways. One was when he ran for president. He became the nation's 16th president. He decided not to have all the black people doing things like slavery so he debated against such an act. When he was a young man, he also debated against slavery. Abraham Lincoln fought for the abolition of slavery and then he became a hero in the eyes of black people for the rest of their lives.

If Abraham Lincoln would not have done all of those nice things, my family and any other families could be slaves right now, or they would not be here in America. Since Abraham Lincoln was nice and smart enough to plan all of those great things, I will always thank him, wherever he is right now, and that is why he is a great role model.

In conclusion, that is why Abraham Lincoln is my hero.
