Anne Frank was a Jewish girl living during the holocaust. She went into hiding so that her family, the Franks, wouldn't be sent to concentration camps. They hid in the secret annex, which was led through by a moving bookshelf from her father's office. Anne Frank is my hero because she taught me to be grateful and have hope in the future when I read her diary. She has helped many people survive due to the Power of Hope, and inspired many people to stand up to racism, such as Malala Yousafzai; Malala said that Anne's diary was her favorite book and inspired her to stand up to the Taliban.
