My lifetime hero is Bhagat Singh, the great Indian revolutionary. He was a great personality. He inspired the Indians to fight against the British. He led the armed revolt of India against the British. He was very courageous.

Because of him, Indians felt the need for independence. Indians were inspired by his acts and the British were surprised. He knew that the Indians loved him and that they did not want to lose him. He knew they would get agitated if the British hanged or killed him. So, Bhagat Singh performed such acts that the British had to arrest and hang him, otherwise he would have destroyed them. Such were the thoughts of Bhagat Singh.

His blood was full of patriotism. He was a great devotee of Mother India. He loved every Indian and did not wish to kill any Indian soldier serving in the British army, but he had to kill them in order to succeed in his missions. His missions were very complicated, but planned, which made them look simple. His leader, Chandrashekhar Azad, organized their missions.

Bhagat Singh was the kingpin of Chandrashekhar Azad’s missions. Some of his many daredevil acts became famous. First was when he accompanied Lala Lajpatray in the ‘SIMON GO BACK’ movement. The second was with his counterparts; they stopped the train carrying the treasury of the British government and carried away the entire treasury with them. The third was with Chandrashekhar Azad and Co. They killed a British officer. The fourth, and the last act, was with one of his companions. They threw a bomb in an open house meeting of the British and shot dead some of the soldiers of their army. The British arrested him then, and decided to hang him and his two close friends, Sukhdev and Rajguru.

Bhagat Singh was one of the great freedom fighters of India. When he was young he attended Mahatma Gandhi’s lecture at Jallianwallah Baug. He was present when the Jallianwallah Baug massacre took place. As a result of this experience, he grew to hate the British. At a young age he decided to fight against the British. He was greatly determined to destroy their power in India. As a child, he was very wise. He became a patriot who turned into a martyr.
