This painting was created during my first year of university after my teacher invited us to watch a ballet performance. I was especially fascinated by the main character, Harlequin. His bright costume, expressive character and energetic movements inspired me. I decided to portray him in the moment of a jump, trying to capture the feeling of movement, freedom and theatrical energy. The painting combines the atmosphere of the stage with the dynamic figure of Harlequin.
