Beyonce Giselle Knowles is the daughter of Mathew and Tina.  Her father was a successful salesman and her mother was a hairdresser who owned her own hair salon. Beyonce is in one of the most successful female vocal groups of all time. She began her career at the age of 10. She writes and performs her own music and has won many awards. She won the Pop Songwriter of the Year in Award, 2001. She has started several charities and cares about others. Beyonce is creative and charitable, therefore she is a hero.

She has encouraged people to go meatless. “What is your Greenprint?” Beyoncé captioned the post, which proposed plant-based breakfasts and meatless Mondays as two ways to participate in the environmentally conscious giveaway. “Click the link in my bio for a chance to win tickets to any JAY and/or my shows for life” (Beyonce  Vegan Challenge). Health is a growing trend in society and Beyonce is creative in getting people to be health conscious. She does not only teach her beliefs but she lives them. Beyonce is a creative songwriter and she adventures out further and comes up with new ideas. She has proposed people should be healthier and teaches people how to become so. She also designs her own clothing line. “Beyoncé herself contributed songs to the record as a writer, cowriter, and co producer--as she would continue to do throughout her singing career...Beyoncé also continued to grow her fashion line, House of Deréon, which she and her mother started in 2005” ("Beyoncé." Newsmakers, vol. 3). With her creativity she brings a great flare in fashion. She has not limited her artistic expression to one area she extends her horizons in many ways. Over all she proves to people that she is a hero around the world by being creative and empowers people.

Beyonce also shows that she is a hero by being charitable. She gives back to those in need. “She and other members of Destiny's Child have opened a community center in Houston and have supported Ronald McDonald Houses while on a tour. They have also helped find houses for victim 2005 hurricane Katrina who were forced to leave New Orleans” (Dougherty, Terri). Beyonce support others by giving money back to the community and helping survivors of tragic event. She helps children being treated for terrible diseases and helps to provide a place for their parents and family to stay while they go through treatment. It is not only children that she cares about but “Beyoncé also donated $100,000 to the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund to benefit victims of Hurricane Ike in the Houston area. In 2010 Beyoncé and her mother opened the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House drug rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn, which offers a seven-month cosmetology program for residents. The singer donated all of her salary from the film Cadillac Records to the organization, and she and her mother pledged to make a $100,000 gift each year (Beyoncé. Contemporary Black). Beyonce worries about people that have suffered from tragic events and donates money to help them. She donates money so that they can achieve their goals and be able to earn their own living and become stable.  Beyonce is a hero because gives to others and loves people.

She doesn't want to let fans see her lose control or act self-centered” (Dougherty, Terri). Beyonce’s private one is of control. Even when the airport lost her luggage she was polite because she cares how others perceive her. Beyonce has won so  many awards. She inspires others to do their best and be the best they can be that is why she is a hero. Beyonce is inspirational she made her own carrier, writes her own music, has designer clothes, started a cosmetology school and has help so many people while being humble and caring. As you can see from the many examples shown she proves that she is a self made and selfless person and has a lot of characteristics and she makes people want to do good like she does, she is truly a hero.
