Cameron Kasky- March for Our Lives by Logan, Tenn

My hero is Cameron Kasky who helped lead March For Our Lives and was a junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. On February 14, 2018 there was a mass shooting at the school in Parkland, Florida.  17 kids were killed and another 17 were injured making it one of the worlds’ deadliest school shootings.  Since then there have been eleven school shootings as of April 30, 2018.

March For Our Lives is a protest to help get control laws to make it harder for certain people to obtain guns.  This hopefully will lower the number of mass shootings and school shootings in the United States. He is my hero because he stood up in front of thousands of people and went to DC to speak about his experience of being in a school shooting.  It takes a lot of courage to be able to do that and that is why he is my hero.
