Princess Diana

My name is Gabrielle, my defention of a hero is thier courages, looked up to, trustworthy, outgoing, will go out of thier way to help one another, that is my defention of a hero.

Princess Diana Spencer was born in July 1, 1961, in Norfolk England. She was born into a wealthy family with two sisters and one younger brother. When she was only six years old her mother and father split up, her syblings and her stayed with there father. In 1974 Diana was given an award for the most help to the school and to her school fellows, this award showed that Diana was already giving others spirit so early in her life.

Diana attended West Heath Boarding School In kent for four years and dropped out when she was 16. She finished school up at Swiss and got a job being a nursery school teacher aide in London.

Soon later Princess Diana became real good friends with Prince Charles and the press came known of princess Diana for Prince Charles was falling in love with her, Princess Diana had the nickname of "Shi Di", because she was kinda shy to the cameras at first. She was only 19 at the time. On Febuary 1981, Prince Charles proposed to Diana, five months later on July 29, 1981, Prince Charles and she got married at St. Pauls Cathedral. Two years later came there first son William, and in 1984, came there last son Harry.

Princess Diana became involved in many charity's, for example... she helped with HIV/AIDS, domestic abuse, drug addiction. She would also travel thousands of miles to hospitals and homeless shelters. Most of the time she would bring her oldest son William, so he and her could get a taste of the real world. In 1997, Princess Diana auctioned off 79 of her evening gowns to Christies in New York, this event made more than $5.7 million, this money was given for Hiv/Aids, and Cancer funds.

On an early morning on August 31, 1997, After Diana left Ritz in Paris, was involved in a fatal car accident which killed Fayed,and the driver instanly. Princess Diana was alive when the ambulance arrived, But the doctors could not save her, a few hours later she was prounced dead of a cardiac arrest at the age of 36. her bodyguard was in critical condition but survived. When the news of the Princess' death got out the world was in shock, disbelief, and sad. (In 1999, new news had came out on the fatel crash that had killed the princess, The driver of Diana's car was drunk and on drugs.)

Even before the funeral, People from all over the world was bring flowers to Buckingham Palace,Where her body was. Some of Diana's favorite charities donated money for the Princess Diana's fund, that equaled over $150 million. On September 8, 1996, more than a million people had lined up over a 3-mile radios to pay there last respects to the princess they had all loved and respected. The reason Princess Diana is my hero is because she helped others as much as she could, she was kind, and willing to give to make people happy, She was in over a 100 charity's and gave money to help find cures for different things. This is why Princess Diana is my hero.
