My Hero – My Father

A hero doesn't have to be a celebrity or a powerful figure; a hero is someone who inspires you, stands up for you, and helps you become the best you can be. Therefore, my hero is my father. He's powerful, he's knowledgeable, and he's always been there for my dreams while showing me that no matter how tough the fight is, you should never give up hope.
My father taught me the meaning of perseverance. He's also my go-to for any new project I want to explore—and yes, we've hosted hackathons together. This year I attended the NASA Space Apps Challenge, where I worked with a team to identify habitable exoplanets and study planetary technologies for a parallel universe. I've also participated in the Unite Hackathon, where the focus was research related to climate change. I will soon join the Nomad Game Jam and the Security Hackathon.
He is also the theme of competitions. Inspired by him, I've entered My Extra Case, where my cohort, the Billionaires, presented creative answers to posed new challenges. I've won the JBCC contest where my financial theories were conceived if ever applied. I've submitted to MECC, a need for the application of theories through purely logic and reasoning. It doesn't matter where I compete and apply next; his booming voice will echo in my head. "Once you stop trying, you lose."
But beyond the competition, my father has been a philanthropic role model. From where my father learned English and instilled the love in me, where his awards could go to his head but hadn't, he knows what ESL status does for so many, and he's championed efforts that assist his efforts. I've participated in such efforts, like Path to the Peaks, for which I manage social media, and Hope.teen.kgz, with which I assisted in educational endeavors. His generosity has allowed me to be generous to others, founding my own YouTube English learning channel, M.B. Eng, to spread awareness of learning the English language.
My father is my hero because he embodies all that's sought after in life. He teaches me that a good life is not about one's achievements and high-ranking titles, but about what one does for the betterment of mankind. Regardless of which path I choose to take in life, as long as I apply his lessons of hard work, morals, and philanthropy to the world and my world, I'll be golden. And even if I never do anything beyond applying him to me, always applying and depending on him gives me a life advantage.
