| Lindsay Davenport At The Australian Open |
Lindsay Davenport was born on June 8, 1976 in Verdes, California.
Lindsay was a former world #1 American professional female tennis champion. She won three Grand Slams; the 1998 US Open, the 1999 Wimbledon, and the 2000 Australian Open. She also won an Olympic gold medal in singles tennis in 1999. She has won many other awards and has always worked hard to do well at every game she played. She talks about always doing her best. She injured her back later in her life and when she was better, she worked hard to overcome and still be a good tennis player. Today she is 32, married, and looking forward to being a mom.
Lindsay showed success traits of persistence, courage and a positive attitude.
She demonstrated persistence by practicing tennis since she was five yeares old to then become a successful tennis player. She demonstrated courage by returning to tennis after a back injury. She demonstrated a positive attitude by smiling and being thankful even when she lost the game.
I enjoyed reading about Lindsay Davenport because she always demonstrated persistence with practice and courage with her game. Her positive attitude gave her the courage to keep going.
