Thank you, Mr. Sivers

Derek Sivers is my hero because he taught me to hold two conflicting ideas in my mind

And see the wisdom in both of them to which others are blind

These days, people cling to just one belief

And giving anyone who thinks the opposite a mountain of grief

The trouble is when you’ve decided all your ideas are true

You’ll never find out what you never knew

In this age of polarization, where everyone thinks the other side is crazy

Refusing to contemplate the other side makes life quite hazy

For other people, they can be treasures for us to unlock

With ideas worth spreading for us to walk

So, thank you, Mr. Sivers, for opening my mind

You prevented me from being blind
