Dr. Martin Luther King Jr - A hero for us all 

He was a man who stood up for people who did not have a voice, for those stories of racism and inequality. He never met violence with violence, He met darkness of the world and spoke light into it. He stood up against cruelty. Martin Luther King took a stand against the systematic oppression of African American population under Jim Crow.

Martin Luther king led a civil rights movement that focused on nonviolent protest. His vision of  equality and civil disobedience changed the lives of African Americans in his time and subsequent decades. He changed the world.
