Sculpture
Instilled with a sense of natural time, environmental artist Chris Booth's stone still-lifes are actually in motion. Many are held in place by wooden supports expected to one day give in to decomposition. "Over years, as the supporting wood rots," Booth explains, "the woven stone 'blanket' will slowly descend to the ground, where one day it will be flat on the earth."
