Evrad Kameugne Kounchou is my hero. Noted for his actions of bravery.

During his period of service in the British Army HM Forces, he did the most conspicuous bravery pre-eminent act of self-sacrifice in the presence of the enemy by saving the life of two women in the dark night on the street the Colindale London (UK). He sustained injuries in the incident. I'm referring to the Metropolice report crime number 2406990/14 date 29/03/2014.

The 35-year-old has been a remarkable and appreciated frontline volunteer worker when the UK was entering a period of great concern and uncertainty during the period of pandemic COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Mr Kounchou was invited to work with the senior member of the UK Government as part of a cross government team to urgently and centrally source much needed personal protective equipement ( PPE ) supplies for the NHS  frontline .

Evrad Kameugne Kounchou role was to provide critical needs for PPE  request. As result of the work, he received the thankful letter for every effort accomplished and massive response the saw from his organisation and would not have been able to respond to the challenge and meet the needs of NHS and frontline workers.

He also provided frontline volunteer support for the NHS by delivering medicine from the pharmacy to vulnerable patients isolating from COVID-19 and vulnerable at home, making regular phone calls to check on people isolating, buying non-food items and doing food shopping with Voluntary Services Lewisham (VSL) for the vulnerable and isolated in Lewisham.

Even more important, Mr Kounchou Founded Mutual Aid Disinfection (Mutualaiddisinfection.org), a group of volunteers who frequently disinfected the public spaces in Lewisham for free during the Pandemic COVID-19 outbreak. Mutual Aid Disinfection used self-source equipment, targeting parks, buses, trains and streets to reduce the rate of infection.

According to the World Health Organisation, the virus may survive on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days on surfaces of different materials in public.

Potentially contaminated surfaces may play a role in the transmission of the virus when persons come in direct contact.

Therefore, it is important to disinfect areas that are frequently touched, to prevent transmission of the virus.

The group has been well received by the public.

The public response was pleasant – He had fantastic and amazing feedback.
