Gregor Mendel

My hero is Gregor Mendel. He was an Austrian monk who devoted his life to researching genetics. Through his hard work, he made great discoveries and became known as the 'Father of Genetics.' His work on pea plants became the foundation of genetic inheritance. Despite his efforts, his hard work wasn’t recognized at the time because people didn’t believe him for many reasons. But that didn’t stop him. His determination to do what he believed was right drove him to dedicate his life to his research until he passed away in 1884. His work was recognized in the 1900s when people found his notes, and after being confirmed by other famous scientists, his discoveries were proven correct and are still used in today's science. I admire his work ethic and his determination to not give up, despite being alone and unsupported by anyone except himself. He was strong and independent.
