by Kat brumm from Brooklyn, New York in United States

"If you are tired, keep going. If you are scared, keep going. If you are hungry, keep going. If you want to taste freedom, keep going."- Harriet Tubman

Imagine being born into slavery Harriet Tubman she made her mark in history by creating the underground railroad and helped around 100 slaves become free

174646public domainHer sitting in a chairHer real name was Araminta but people called her (minty) . She was born into slavery  and had 8 siblings. Born on March 1822 she handled her hostile environment by helping the other slaves to freedom

174646Passage to freedomHarriet Tubman took slaves out of their town and to Philadelphia it was called the underground railroad it was a consistent move into the towns peoples basements of people who supported her and her plan

I believe Harriet Tubman was a risk taker she shows that by taking slaves from her town and helping them escape and she was a leader she showed that by leading people to freedom and safety.
