He is my HERO!

I chose Abraham Lincoln because he fought for no slavery. He led the Union Army against the Confederates for anti-slavery to happen. Additionally, he respected that “all men are equal” (stated in the Declaration of Independence.), “We hold these truths to be self-evident: all men are created equal,” this means whichever race you are, you are the same; meaning no man deserves a higher standard through his/her race.

He didn’t think that he should have a higher privilege than others because of his skin tone, but he regarded everyone the same. He also thought that everyone should deserve the same freedom. He even quoted: “Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.” That means that if you don’t let others have freedom you don't deserve it yourself. This is why I chose Abraham Lincoln.
