Julie Mischke

by Stacey from Saginaw

Some people have heros, but some think having a hero is kind of childish. As for me I do have a hero and my hero is my Aunt Julie.

My Aunt was born in Miami, Florida. She has 6 brothers and sisters. It was tough, because she had to try to avoid getting thrown down the laundry shoot by her brothers. She had to walk to school instead of riding the bus. While she grew up she started to get an interest in animals. That interest grew while she went to high school and college. Julie graduated in a degree in animals. After that she became a vet. Now she works on horses, dogs, cats, and ferrets etc.

I talked to my grandmother and she said that Julie had many pets but most of them died in months. But Julie just kept buying more animals until she kept one alive for years. She never gave up, she kept working hard. She never got down when one of her pets died. She kept her hopes up.

I can use her qualities by, when a hard issue comes up I usually give up. Now I can keep going and never give up and then I will get farther in life. My Aunt Julie is a very devoted lady. I hope I turn out like her.
