JK Rowling

JK Rowling is my hero because she wrote an awesome book series called Harry Potter.  There are 7 books in the series.  The books are about a kid named Harry Potter and his adventures as a wizard.  JK Rowlings is not only an author but a film and television producer too.  I read all of the Harry Potter books and saw all of the movies.  I also found out about some other great things JK Rowlings did.

If boys thought the author was a girl then they might not read it.  The first Harry Potter book was published in 1997.  One thing I love about JK Rowling is that she never gave up on making the Harry Potter book series because she got turned down by 12 book publishers until Bloomsbury published her first book.  JK Rowling became the 9th best selling fictional author in world.  JK Rowling inspires me to not quit.

JK Rowling (People.com)(no copyright infringement is intended )JK Rowling was working for Amnesty International at the time she wrote the first book.  Amnesty International is a human rights company.  With the money she earned from the Harry Potter books and movies, JK Rowlings created a charity called Lumos.  Lumos is fundraiser for kids with no parents or kids with disabilities.  JK Rowling also gave money and support to help fight multiple sclerosis since her mother died of the disease. It makes me happy that JK Rowling cares for all sorts of people.

JK Rowling writes about Harry Potter and his friends in these adventures. I love how strong their friendships are and reminds me of my friends. Some of Harry's friends in these books give up their lives so that Harry Potter can kill Voldomort, who is the evil wizard in the book series.  Although I don't think I would give up my life for my friends, it inspires me to be a better person to my friends. 

JK Rowling went from being poor to being rich because of her Harry Potter books and movies.  She became the worlds first billionaire author.  She has been very generous with the money she earned by giving away millions to different charities.  Her fans, including me, think she is a hero because we like her books and movies.  I think she is also a hero because she cares about people around the world too.
