Louis Leakey

Louis spent most of his time in Africa and Engalnd. During his life he worked in a museum, gave speechs and tought classes. What he was most known for was discovering early man.One of the mos famouse of his finds was Zinj short for Zinjanthropus. Louis thout it was between 500,000 and 1,000,000 years old, unfortunatly he was wrong. It was later proven to be 1.75 millian years old, thus Zinj was the oldest known toolmaker ever found. Louis also hired three women to observe apes and see if they made tools. The three woman were Jane Goodall ( chimpanzees ), Dian Fossey ( gorillas ) and Birute Galdikas ( orangutans ).
