Light of Compassion

For this project, I chose to draw Jesus Christ. Not only is he an important figure in many religions, but he is also known as kind, generous, and loving. Although often viewed solely as a religious figure, which can seem very distant to us today, it is true that in his time, he stayed with the poor and those in discomfort. He helped people who were disliked, who were viewed as evil, who wronged him. He is someone we should all strive to be in terms of kindness and compassion. Jesus is a role model for people everywhere and is a symbol of hope. Scripture states that he was as human as any of us. I believe that he is heroic not only from a religious standpoint, but also that he has connected and inspired tens of thousands of people all throughout history.
