A Little Girl With Flowers
by Ursula Malbin
Sculpture
From the "Mitzpor Shalom" or "Vista of Peace" Sculpture Garden
Ursula Malbin fled Germany after the Nazis rise to power, landing in Geneva Switzerland where she pursued the study of sculpture and met her future husband, Henri Paquet.
She would eventually settle into a home in Ein Hod, Israel, where she continued her work, splitting time between there and her house in Switzerland. With a deep desire to thank her adopted country, Israel, Ursula created a sculpture garden in Carmel, overlooking Haifa, where 29 bronze sculptures command a magnificent view of the sea.
