126732Malala YousafzaiAntonio OlmosHave you ever not been allowed to go to school? I have to go to school, but for Malala Yousafzai her life was very different. Malala grew up in Pakistan. She was a fine student and had a good education for a while until a terrorist group called the Taliban stopped that. The Taliban didn't want any girls in school and to show that they wrecked many schools and injured numerous people. Malala’s family didn't believe in what the Taliban was doing and supported her going to school. Malala's father brought her to a local press club when she was 11 where she gave her first speech called,  How Dare The Taliban Take Away My Basic Right To Education?   Eventually Malala came to be a very famous activist and inspired many people including myself!

One of the reasons why Malala is my hero is because she is very selfless. For example she has given many strong speeches not for her but for girls who cannot attend school. She fought for other people’s rights in education. Also she started a blog and even when she got threatened she kept on blogging because she knew she was doing this for other people who need her. She is such a persistent person and always puts others before herself.

Also Malala is my hero is because she has so much courage. First off, when she got shot by the Taliban, instead of giving up activism she continued to fight. When she gave her speeches she was in front of huge crowds but instead of chickening out she persevered. Lastly when she wrote in her blog she wasn't afraid to write what she felt. Even if other people didn’t like what she wrote she still was entitled to her own opinion and so she took advantage of that. I really believe Malala is an amazing person and a talented activist.

Lastly, Malala is super hard working. She never stopped fighting for girls’ education rights until it made an impact. With little help from other people she worked to where she is today in the world of activism. Also Malala is not only a activist but also a very good student. She was also working towards going back to school, she will be attending Oxford University!

Overall Malala is an amazing person and a strong woman who does not give up. I look up to Malala everyday as a mentor and an inspiration. I hope everyone can now understand what, in my opinion a hero really is. It doesn't take physical strength or special powers to be a hero… You just have to believe in yourself and make a difference.
