Martin Luther King Jr.

When you hear a hero you probably think of Batman or Wolverine but I think Martin Luther King Jr. A man who single-handedly moved the civil rights movement forward for the rights for Black people to be treated equally.

Martin Luther King Jr was a very hard worker and took a lot of things to heart, faced hard problems throughout his life and tried to kill himself twice. But he was a pretty good student, maintaining the B+ average throughout his time in high school and always found time to help his sister with her math.

MLK showed the world that Black people and African-American people are just as important as white people. It improved the lives of millions of people. Yes segregation and racism still exists but he pushed back at the idea till the day he died on April 4 1996.

Martin Luther King is a great person because he’s selfless and he’s always cared about equality and equity for everybody and that’s why he’s my hero.
