My hero is the football player Per Mertesacker. At the moment he is signed with the German football club Werder Bremen and is very successful. In addition, he has a regular place on Germany’s national team and is probably Germany's best defender. He is also the hero of lots of football-interested people, because in two years he has graduated from an amateur player of Hannover 96 to a German national player. During the World Cup 2006 in Germany, he became famous all over the world and he is one of the reasons for Germany’s great success. He is the best example for becoming a great football player by training very hard with lots of discipline.
