Martin Luther King, Jr.

by Bhisma from Cleveland

Martin Luther King, Jr. (I drew it myself.)
Martin Luther King, Jr. (I drew it myself.)

My hero is Martin Luther King, Jr. I had many questions about my hero, Martin Luther King, Jr. I found the answers in my book entitled, Martin's Big Words by Doreen Rappaport. When Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. fought for civil rights, he cared for all Americans.

Dr. King taught others to fight with words, not fists. The inspiration for the "I Have a Dream" speech came from the people he walked with, sang with and prayed with. When Dr. King saw "white only" signs, it made him feel sad because it excluded others. Dr. King went wherever people needed help. And that's why he is my hero.
