My Alter Ego

This drawing represents my alter ego, a version of myself that I look up to and aspire to become. I chose to depict the figure in a dramatic, powerful pose to show strength, struggle and transformation. The extended arm reaching outward symbolises determination and the desire to break free from limitations. The expression on the face reflects intensity and emotion, showing that becoming your own hero often requires facing challenges.

The use of light and shadow is intentional. The darker shadow behind the figure represents the parts of myself that I’m trying to overcome. Things like fear, doubt and past difficulties. The lighter side represents growth, courage and who I want to become. The exaggerated proportions, such as the long legs and extended arm, emphasise movement and the idea of pushing beyond boundaries.

By drawing my hero as an alternate version of myself, I am showing that heroism doesn’t always come from outside, it can come from within. This artwork is a reminder that I have the potential to face obstacles and become the best version of myself.
