Sometimes the most challenging battles are the most rewarding. When I was six years old, I was diagnosed with a life-threatening auto-immune disease called Idiopathic Very Severe Aplastic Anemia. Upon finding out he was an 100% DNA match, my Bone Marrow donor gave me his bone marrow to save my life. Chemotherapy, radiation treatments, transfusions, two bone marrow transplants, and a stem cell boost later, I now realize that my struggle was a blessing.
