My Brother Liandrielle, My Hero, My Mentor and Role Model

My brother, Liandrielle, is absolutely my hero and an awesome role model. He has made a huge difference in how I see the world and what I can do. He is a hero because he is responsible and a thoughtful teacher. He doesn't just talk about being a good citizen but shows it. For example, he faithfully takes our recyclables out almost every night. This small, daily action proves his commitment to helping the planet.

Beyond caring for the environment, he is my dedicated life skills coach. He makes sure I learn to be responsible by teaching me how to manage household chores. Even more importantly, he talks to me often, training me in how to communicate well and how to handle different kinds of people and situations with confidence. He is also  a champion of making sure everyone is included. He stops me from believing old-fashioned ideas, showing me through his own actions that sports like basketball are for everyone, regardless of whether you are a boy or a girl. Because of him, I've expanded my world by learning to play musical instruments, badminton and  mastering video games.
