My grandmother

My Hero

 My Hero is my grandmother, Sandra. She is my hero because she is always there for me since I’m young. I considered her like my mother. Sandra is a strong and beautiful person. She inspires me because she is the person that is always there for other people. Family for her is the first priority, she takes care of me and my great grandmother that has dimension.

My grandmother has plenty of good memories when she was younger. She has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. When she was younger they moved a lot because her father was a lumberjack, but she always had her grandmother by her side. Her grandmother is her favorite memories of her childhood because "My grandmother was not only my grandmother but was like my second mother because she always lived with us and she taught me a lot in life".  

 Sandra lived a lot a challenges in her life. The toughest thing she went through is when she was going to be a grandmother for the first time, but at the end of the pregnancy, her granddaughter didn't make it. She said "My daughter was to become a mother for the first time. Her pregnancy went well for 9 months. At 41 weeks, I brought her to the hospital, she was admitted. I was so excited to meet my first granddaughter. The doctor could not find the heartbeat of the baby, my daughter asked me, why they couldn't they find her heartbeat, I said that sometimes the baby is moving a lot and that happens, but in the back of my mind, I knew there was something wrong. They rushed her for an emergency C section. The doctor came out and told me that they didn't know what happened, but she was gone. They wanted me to tell my daughter her baby passed away. As a mother, I told the doctor I could not announce that to her. My heart was ripped apart that day. Through that difficult time, I kept telling my daughter there was a reason why. "Someday you will have a chance to become a mother again". As my grandmother always told my mother that she would have another baby, a year later I was born. My grandmother had always stayed positive for my mom. This challenge wasn't easy, but it made Sandra stronger. Her first granddaughter is always in her heart.

 Her best accomplishment is "always to stay true to myself, through the good and bad moments of my life". To stay true to herself, she always follows her heart because she said "that the heart never lies". She always keeps in mind it is important to treat others like you want to be treated.

 My grandmother is a wonderful women and she inspires me every day.  Sandra's grandmother taught her a lot in life and she is doing the same thing with me. It was a tough moment in her life when she lost her first granddaughter but that challenge made her stronger as a person. Finally, her best accomplishment is to always be herself because she said life is easier.
