My Grandpa

My GrandpaCaelyn KimThe hero I chose to draw in my portrait is my grandpa. He was 87 years old when he passed on December 24, 2025. He lived in Korea with his family until my dad, his son, turned ten. Then he relocated his family to the U.S. to provide better education and opportunities for his three children. My grandpa worked all his life to support his family as well. Five years before his death, he registered to donate his body for medical research. Then, at the very end, although he was sick and tired, he still made the effort to greet the people who came to visit. Because of all the things he did during and after his life, I consider him a hero.
