MY HERO CO-FOUNDER JEANNE MEYERS TO BE A KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE 2025 VIRTUAL GLOW EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE

NOVEMBER 17, 2025 - LAGUNA BEACH, CA - Jeanne Meyers Director of The MY HERO Project will speak this week at the virtual Global Learning for an Open World (GLOW), a virtual conference that brings together educators, activists and change makers from around the globe.

The conference takes place November 19–20, 2025, with Meyers speaking on Wednesday, November 19th, from 4:00 PM-4:50 PM Pacific Time.

The aim of GLOW is to foster collaboration, share knowledge and explore strategies to advance education in all parts of the world. GLOW advocates advance sustainability, by helping schools align their curriculum with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Teachers are equipped with tools and strategies to create transformative learning experiences for their students to foster cross-cultural connections and bring about positive change. 

The MY HERO Project is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to celebrating the best of humanity. It was was launched online in 1995 by Meyers and co-founders Karen Pritzker and Rita Stern Milch. Their mission was to create a safe venue online to celebrate diverse heroes from around the world. Today, the MY HERO website (myhero.com) hosts an extensive archive of hero-themed stories, music, art and short films.

To encourage participation, MY HERO has been promoting media arts education and supporting teachers and students with educational resources to participate in this global learning project. MY HERO has received numerous awards for its work promoting diverse voices, young and old. 

Other speakers include Howard Blumenthal, author and creator of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, Babalwa Ngcongolo, of the Changeways Centre for Collaborative Justice and Jennifer Seidel, leader of the Green Schools National Network.
