My Hero- Daniel Moore

      For my "My Hero" artwork, I water-colored a picture of my dad and I. My dad has always pushed me to do my best, so I am set up for success later in life. He is very talented and has worked hard to get where he is today. We have our rough moments, like all teenagers do with their parents, but he inspires me to reach high and never give up. I know there is always improvement to make, so I will continue to learn and grow, like he has taught me. 

      In this piece, I used water-color and few colored pencils to touch up some shadows. In sketching, I put a grid over the original picture, as well as in my sketchbook, so it was easier to put the details in the right place. I used a lot of mixtures of white, orange, brown, red, and black to create most of the colors used. I also used more paint and colored pencils in the darker areas, and more watered-down paint in the lighter areas.
