My hero without a Shield

For my hero I have chosen my dad. I made use of Captain America’s costume to represent the idea of everyday heroism. My dad, just like Captain America, is not a hero because of traditional superpowers but because of the power coming from his heart.

The colour red in the background, symbolizes the love that I have for him and that he has for us, as well as the energy and courage that he has to keep going despite all the stress while also keeping us encouraged and motivated too. Through this painting I wanted to be able to express my love and appreciation for my dad, who unlike me, no longer has an amazing dad who he can rely on when things get tough. And although I know that I cannot take his problems away, I just hope that when he sees this painting he can feel all the love and affection I put into it.
