Oscar Harold Freydell

Dr. Oscar Harold Freydell was born in 1960 in Clinica Del Rosario in Medellin. In 1968, when he was 8 years, he moved to Bogotá. He came back 2 years later. When he was a kid, he wanted everyone cured. That is what made him want to be a doctor.

He went to Bogotá again when he was 29 years old. When asked if he was sad when he needed to leave Medellin, he said, “No. In some cases Bogotá is better than Medellin.’’ He works in Clinica de Ofafmologia San Diego. He has only failed 2 times in his operations. “I failed both times because the cataract had a very strong infection,” he said. He has operated in Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Yopal, Argentina and Peru, a part of Medellin. He’s important to me because he has saved lots of people from being blind. This is why I elected him as a hero.
