Painting of my Mother

This is a painting of my mother when she was younger, around the time she first moved to the United States from the Philippines. This portrait represents my mother as my hero, because it took a great deal of bravery and resilience for her to leave her home country and start over in a completely new and unfamiliar place. Her courage and determination laid the foundation for the life our family has today, and this painting honors the strength and sacrifice that made it all possible.
