Jane Goodall is a person who practically lived with chimps and different animals. She had known that was her calling to work with animals but she learned her life was with the chimps. She’s well known for studying chimps and protesting for protecting their home. She is heroic because she stood up for chimps and all animals whose homes were being destroyed.
Goodall's dad was a businessman, and his mother was a novelist. Her dad came home and gave her a chimp stuffed animal. Her mom's friend said it was going to give her nightmares, but she liked it a lot. But she did not start with anything to do with animals. She was working as a secretary and film production assistant. When she met an anthropologist, he saw her true potential and invited her to study chimps in Gambia. That’s when her spark to protect and study chimps actually started.
The hostile environment she had to deal with was people cutting down forests that chimps and many different animals lived in. She started to protest against destroying the forests where the chimps and animals lived. Jane Goodall has impacted the lives of chimps and humans. She studied the chimps, which gave us information about them and their lives. She also impacted the chimps' lives in a very good way. She did this by protesting to keep their home safe. Humans have been destroying the chimps' habitats and building things there.
I know I am talking about chimps and Jane Goodall but also think about the thousands of animals that lose their habitat to us humans. This is also part of what Goodall protested. She started protesting and protecting all the animals in those habitats being destroyed. Goodall is a good person for many reasons. But she has worked for so many years learning about their lives and protecting their habitat. I look up to her because I love animals and really want to work with animals when I’m older. I have always wanted to work with them, protect and learn about them, just like her.
