Nikola Tesla

by Jacob Traficante from Brooklyn, New York in United States

Brilliant, smart, extraordinary, and amazing are how people describe Nikola Tesla but he is a hero to me. Nikola Tesla was known as a brilliant inventor, futurist and engineer. Tesla was heroic due to his visionary inventions and his relentless pursuit of groundbreaking scientific advancements.

Nikola Tesla was a brilliant Serbian-American inventor and engineer who made significant contributions to the development of alternating current (AC). Tesla was born in Smiljan, Croatia on July 10, 1856. Tesla’s childhood, while not easy, was marked both tragedy and early signs of his genius. His upbringing involved a difficult relationship with his parents, the loss of an older brother, and a serious illness. Tesla showed an early aptitude for science and mathematics. Despite facing obstacles throughout his life his (Tesla’s) passion for his work and his vision for the future of technology fueled his resilience. So with determination, Tesla continued to pursue his goals.

In the late 1880’s Nikola Tesla was about to show the world his most significant invention yet, the alternating current (AC) electrical system. Tesla believed that his inventions should benefit everyone and was driven by a desire to improve the human condition. The alternating current (AC) electrical system can make long-distance transmission from far places.

Tesla is a charitable man, often giving to the poor even when unsure if they were truly in need. Tesla wanted to use his inventions to benefit everyone to improve human conditions. I look up to Nikola Tesla because if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be able to contact people from far places, power my house, or many other things.
