Ronaldo was born February 5, 1985 in Funchal, Portugal. When he was just ten years old, professional teams were taking interest in him. Ronaldo was named after Ronald Reagan, someone in which his father liked. His parents were Maria Dolores dos Santos and Jose Dinis Aveiro. His father was a gardener and his mother a housekeeper. Sadly, Ronaldo's father died in 2005 due to kidney problems. Ronaldo has been signed by at least two elite professional teams: Manchester United and Real Madrid. He has won the player of the year award at least three times. He has set records for soccer every year he plays. Ronaldo was a hero to Portugal and soccer fans everywhere. Ronaldo has won very many awards in his professional career.  In 2007 he won a lot at one time. It was one of his best years, other than 2008, 2013, and 2014. Ronaldo was an inspiration to people even outside of the football world. Cristiano Ronaldo is a very family oriented person.
