George Nissen

Do you know that George Nissen was the guy to invent trampolines? My science hero is George Nissen. George Nissen lived a very fascinating life. He struggled at times but achieved his goal at one point. George Nissen displays many characteristics and actions that a hero should have. George Nissen is considered a hero to me because he is a very smart inventor. You’ll soon discover that George Nissen is a hero to some people.

George Nissen was born in Blairstown, Iowa. Nissen became a gymnast in his high school and won 3 NCAA Gymnastics Championships. He had 2 kids and 1 wife. He had 1 boy and 1 girl. Their names are George Junior and Loretta. His Wife’s name is Annolyisa. When George Nissen was young, about 8 or 9 years old, his parents got a divorce. He was very depressed at the time so he was always on the computer learning about Science. Other than that he lived a happy life. He died at age 96, in April, 2010, in San Francisco.

One characteristic of a hero is niceness. Certain heroes must display niceness because if they are not nice, how can they be a hero? Intelligence is a characteristic of my hero, George Nissen. I consider Nissen intelligent because he built a trampoline. He would need to be smart to be a hero because if he is not smart than he probably would not be able to invent the trampoline. George Nissen also had a good sense of humor. He always made his kids laugh by funny jokes. Now you know the awesome characteristics of George Nissen.

George Nissen is my hero because he invented the trampolines. One reason why he is my hero is because without a trampoline I would not be able to practice gymnastics. It would also be harder to practice without a trampoline. Another reason why is when you have a trampoline it helps your re-bounds at the end of a gymnastic move. If we never had George Nissen it would be hard to practice Gymnastics.
