Imagine you just got your arm bitten off by a thirty-foot shark. Now imagine what would happen in the five, ten, fifteen years after that. Most people get depressed, some even to the point of the suicide. That’s where therapy dolphins come in. Besides helping people get well after an amputation, they do much, much more. They can detect bombs underwater in areas that are too dangerous for people. They also help lower the fish population. Therapy dolphins are important because they make people brave, help war heroes, and inspire many children.

What is a world without bravery? There would be no one to enlist in the military, no one to step up and take a stand. That is where therapy dolphins come in. They make people that are afraid of water, swimming, and the ocean in general. Swimming is a very important trait to have, it cannot only save your life, and it may save others. Heroes can be a lifeguard at a pool, or saving someone in the ocean after being attacked by a giant squid. Without dolphins, we would have a population scared of water, which is over 98% of our earth’s land mass. We wouldn’t be able to explore, so we cannot grow as a species. Without therapy dolphins, our species might cease to exist.

Stress. We hear it everyday, on the news, from our friends, and in modern society in general. No one wants to be stressed, but at one time or another, everyone gets stressed, whether it is a big term paper, the championship date, or on a date with the person of your dreams. Therapy dolphins help fight off stress. Being in the nice, warm, seawater with a dolphin is what hits the spot. Stress has led to suicide many, many times. Without dolphins to help, our species might cease to exist.

Our nation is in an economic downturn. No matter what way you want to say it, our nation is no longer the great country it was. People don’t try to achieve The American Dream anymore. It’s not hard work and saving money, it’s trying to be the next person to win the lottery. Too many people rely on the latter than the former. That’s where therapy dolphins come in. Dolphins do cost more than the average pet, but you can’t explore the ocean with a dog. Without this, people won’t aspire to become rich, and no one will lead our country. Without our exports, the world won’t be able to go on. Without dolphins, our species might cease to exist.

Now go back to the thirty-foot shark. Imagine it without the dolphin to help you. The best that could happen is that you are missing an arm and floating aimlessly in the Pacific Ocean, praying that a boat comes to save your life. Therapy dolphins can save lives. Therapy Dolphins are important because they make people braver, they help war heroes, and they inspire many children live up to there full potential.

Extra Info

Dolphins help people. I had to find out the hard way. When swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, a 30-foot long Great White Shark bit my entire leg off, and I think he would have finished me off if it wasn't for Tyrone Jackson, the dolphin that saved me. He must have gotten me out of there because when I woke up, I was in the hospital. They said I was going to make a full recovery thanks to Tyrone Jackson. Thanks to him, I helped start the Tyrone Jackson Charity 5K Swim in the area I got bit. Everyone that enters the race pays a fee ranging from $5 to $5,000,000. Whoever wins gets a free dolphin to have. i have also started a '30-Foot Shark Awareness Group' to stop people taking 30 feet sharks not as serious as they should be. Because of this, I think that Tyrone Jackson, and all therapy dolphins in general, should win this year's Nobel Peace Prize. I am not the first one to need a dolphin's assistance in needing to make a full recovery and helping them recover. They help people recover from an injury or help people get over their fears of the ocean, both of which I needed after getting bit by a 30-foot long shark. Tyrone Jackson and other dolphins do all of this and more and don't get any respect for it. All they get is fish while other 'heroes' get all the respect for half the work. Tyrone Jackson made my life even better than it was before. Please read this so therapy dolphins can win a Nobel Peace Prize and get past this discrimination we have been giving them for years.
