Peter Francisco

Peter Francisco
Peter Francisco

My hero is Peter Francisco. He helped America win its freedom. He was a war hero.

He won six major battles, which might have won us the war. By the war, I mean the Revolutionary War. He had a sword specifically made for him because his normal broad sword was too small. He joined the militia in 1777. He was wounded many times in several different engagements. He had a battle named after him; it was called Francisco’s Fight, where he single-handedly defeated a band of Terlenton Raiders fleeing from a battle. His commanding officer ordered him to join the army in Yorktown. He watched the surrender of the British army, although he did not fight in the battle.

He is my hero because he had some qualities that I would like to have. He was strong, confident, nice, and smart. He was a man who did many amazing things and had many accomplishments that all were for a good cause--to free the Thirteen Colonies!
