My hero is a sportsman. His name is Philippe Croizon. He was born in Châtellerault in France. After an accident, he decided to do sports despite his disability that deprived him of his four limbs. Without forgetting his handicap, he had multiple sports achievements. For example, he was the first to swim across the Channel despite an amputation of his four limbs. On January 11, 2011, he received the trophy of the Académie des Sports, André de Saint-Sauveur Award. And on December 16, 2011, he was knighted and awarded the Legion of Honor by Nicolas Sarkozy. What I admire about him is the fact that has been able to show the world that his handicap was not a problem or a mistake but a force that pushed him to exceed himself. As Scott Hamilton would say, "The only handicap in life is a bad attitude."
