This artwork shows two people standing together in an outdoor setting, captured in a calm and casual moment. The main focus is the relationship between the figures, their closeness and the way they stand side-by-side suggests support, connection, and familiarity. I wanted to highlight the idea that everyday relationships and simple moments can hold a lot of emotional value.
The brick wall and grass background create a strong contrast with the figures, helping them stand out. The repetitive brick pattern symbolizes stability and structure, while the green grass represents growth and life. Together, they set a scene that feels grounded and real, like a memory or a moment from real life.
I used bright and bold colours, especially in the clothing, to show individuality and personality. The red shirt brings energy and warmth, while the white shirt represents simplicity and calmness. The blue pants and matching shoes add balance and help create visual rhythm in the composition.
The figures are painted in a stylized way rather than fully realistic. This was intentional, I wanted the viewer to focus more on the connection between the two people rather than perfect details. The simplified faces make the artwork more universal, allowing others to relate to it.
Overall, this artwork captures a meaningful personal moment and celebrates relationships, identity, and everyday life. It shows that even ordinary scenes can hold emotional depth and tell a story.
