My artwork titled "POWER" is about my strong, resilient, beautiful, conquering mother who embodies what it means to be everything powerful thus titled power. I am not here to tell you the story of my mother but rather a tribute to her POWER. She has been through everything and more and I possibly can't begin to imagine all the other struggles that she faces that are eating at her day in and day out, but she sweeps it under the rug to make sure that us as her children are never found to be worrying or scared of what might happen next. There were days where I found her at her worst, wishing that I didn't see her in the state she was in but she put a smile on her face to try hide and cover up the pain she was feeling. I was oblivious to this at such a young age but now seeing how far she has come, all I can do is appreciate how much she's faught through to make sure I am where I am. She is my mother and my father in one, my beacon of strength, my everything... She is POWER
