Puduhepa

The powerful queen of the Hittite Empire, which ruled over what is now Turkey, Puduhepa, was a female hero who championed peace and diplomacy. The enlarged cuneiform replica of the Treaty of Kadesh, inspired by Akkadian clay tablets, is displayed as a symbol of peace on the wall of the United Nations Headquarters in New York, demonstrating the document's universal value. However, very few people know that behind this historic peace text lies Puduhepa's vision and diplomatic acumen. She is an unforgettable hero who inspired women through her leadership. In my artwork, created with acrylic paint on canvas, I depicted the Hittite queen Puduhepa.
