Although a New Zealand citizen, he has represented Australia in rugby at international level. He currently plays for the Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby competition in Australia. His preferred position is fly-half.
He attended Forest View High School before moving to Brisbane in Australia as a 13-year-old.
Why is he my hero?
My hero is because he is a rugby player and I look up to him. He was the one to introduce me to rugby (not personally) but through him I met rugby and I don't regret it.
I have been playing it for five years now and I never get used to it. I even became a captain. I love this sport because we as a team we all hold together and encourage each other to push our limits beyond what we can do. We got each other's back and even though somebody did something bad we never yell on each other. And this is why it means the world to me, and this is why I will never forget him.
