This privilege was even seen on buses where white people sat in the front, and colored people were forced to sit in the back. One day a colored woman resisted moving for a white person, changing society’s way of life forever. This was the doing of Rosa Parks. Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama where she lived with her parents and younger brother. She was involved in peaceful protests for civil rights. Rosa Parks joined many organizations to help others throughout her whole life. A true hero must exhibit bravery and compassion. Parks displayed bravery by standing up for what she believed in no matter the consequences. She was compassionate to others her whole life even when they didn’t affect her. Rosa Parks’ act of resistance towards society’s way of thinking and her involvement in organizations to improve other’s way of life inspired others to follow by being brave and compassionate.

Rosa Parks’s bravery to fight for civil rights is one of her well known heroic attributes. Parks risked everything she had and also went to jail for her actions. Parks believed that she too was a human being that had the same rights as the whites. Her courage was an essential asset to influencing the Civil Rights Movement and pushing forward a whole era of leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. to stand up for civil rights. Parks is considered a hero for her tremendous amount of bravery. She stood up and spoke as everyone’s voice to the public. Parks spoke up although she knew it would not be approved by many people and would have numerous consequences. She kept fighting for civil rights no matter what was thrown her way although there was much to fear about the consequences. She is a true hero because she did not let fear cloud her opinion on what was wrong and right. Parks joined many organizations and groups to continue fighting for civil rights. Rosa Parks is well known for her bravery when it came to fighting for civil rights.

She was involved in many organizations that had the main purpose of helping others. “In 1987 Parks co-founded the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self-Development. After all the boycotts and busy life of protesting, Parks never lost compassion for others. She continued to look after others and teach them. Her compassion is widely known by others that could be identified through her participation in organizations.After a hard life of fighting for civil rights, Rosa Parks continued to educate others. A true hero sticks to their beliefs and passes it on. Park’s compassion could be seen by her involvement in groups to help others. “Parks organized the NAACP Youth Council in Montgomery and sat on the national committee to vindicate the Scottsboro Boys, nine black teenagers who had been wrongfully accused of raping two white women in Alabama” ("Rosa Parks." Compassion and selflessness were displayed throughout her involvement in the case. She displayed compassion for others and it is evident from the quote. She made sure that the boys did not get blamed for something they didn’t do. Rosa Parks is a hero because one of her traits that can be identified as compassion. She got involved in many organizations to improve society’s ways and devoted her life to helping others.
