Sally Ride

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an astronaut? Or be in space? For me, a hero is someone you look up to and feel they have done something good. My hero is Sally Ride. Sally Ride is known for being an astronaut and the first woman to fly into space. I admire Sally Ride because she has inspired other people to do something extraordinary like her. Sally Ride is considered a hero because she has done amazing things, like when she went on the STS-7 mission in 1983.

When Sally Ride went into space, her job was to fix a robotic arm to put satellites in space. After, Sally Ride went into the National Astronaut’s Hall of Fame, which is to thank astronauts for what they have done for us and all of their work. She also wrote 19 children's books about space and the Solar System.

In conclusion, Sally Ride was an astronaut, author, and someone who has accomplished many different things.
