Barry Sanders is a hero to me because he is a great football player. He is such a good football player that he won the Heisman Trophy, and that is the most respectable award u can recieve in college/univirsity. He also has amazing stats as you can see above. He is also my favorite hero because he did so much for his community. He lived in Detroit since he played for the Lions. He donated money and food to the businesses in the community and neighbourhoods.

Some people might ask why a football player would be a hero. My answer to that is he is an athlete, and athletes are heroes. They are heroes because they give people hope and faith to one day live out their dreams and maybe play a professional sport. I know Barry Sanders does it for me. Because of Barry, I can wake up every morning to get ready for school and dream about playing football all day. One day I hope to be half as good as he was and be a role model for people all over the world.
